In 2016 the UK Government ran a pandemic preparedness simulation called ‘Exercise Cygnus’ to examine our response to a ‘fictional’ influenza pandemic emerging out of South-East Asia.
The pandemic was expected to infect 50% of the UK population and cause upto 450,000 excess deaths (Neil Ferguson anyone)
Todays podcast looks at the findings of the report and also examines some of the more nefarious ‘Key Learning Outcomes’ particularly those around ‘Population-Level Triage’ which we would see in action during the COVID19 ‘pandemic’
